2017 National Young Leadership Mission to Israel

July 3 – 9, 2017

Join with fellow adventurers (22-45) and experience an Israel not open to the average visitor. Feel the spirit of tikkun olam at work, as you connect with Israelis from all walks of life, who are making an impact in the present and on the future. Experience everything from taking an amazing jeep ride through the Golan Heights to discovering the nightlife of Tel Aviv. This is an Israel mission that takes you beyond tourism.

The Tampa JCCs & Federation is offering need-based subsidies for a select group of young adults to participate in this annual trip organized by the National Young Leadership department of the Jewish Federations of North America. Hundreds of single and married young professionals from across North America will be participating.

Mission Highlights:

  •          Attend exclusive briefings from top Israeli newsmakers, experts and opinion leaders
  •          Teach and learn alongside Ethiopian-Israeli youth in an English language summer school program
  •          Meet with CEOs behind Israel’s latest high-tech innovations
  •          Sip craft beer at a local brewery supported by Federation’s efforts to advance entrepreneurship in Israel

The awarded subsidy must be applied to the total cost of the trip. Applications will be reviewed by the Mission to Israel application committee; the application process will be competitive.

Mission Costs: Land price (double occupancy): $2,899. Single supplement: $919 (additional cost if you prefer your own room). The cost of the trip does NOT include airfare.

*Price includes first-class hotel accommodations, transportation, guides, most meals, taxes, tips, group transfers, and security.

Mission Co-chairs: This year’s Mission Co-Chairs are Michelle Hirsch (Cleveland) and Jeffrey Rum (Washington, D.C.). Michelle and Jeffrey are the incoming NYL Co-Chairs and will be chairing the mission in order to connect more closely with those they will be representing this year.
